My rough estimate from what I know of antimatter-matter energy output:

Europe and most of Asia: Vaporized
Life on Earth: Destroyed.

This would be a very big "explosion".

Though, isn't the actual destructive power disputable?

IIRC, an antimatter bomb wouldn't produce any kinetic energy whatsoever, but result in a huge flash of gamma rays.
Also, I think the gamma rays would have such stupidly high energy, they would even be less harming than 'regular' gamma rays.

Hmm.. what if we somehow Crossed the 'regular' rays with those rays?

We have received word of a possible syndicate nuke squad in the area. We are now detonating the station to prevent nuclear destruction. Please stand by.

Do you mean World annihilation as in the earth is gone, or world annihilation as in everyone is dead.

As in the planet is gone. Should I add a third option of "everyone is dead"?

That would be nice.

Hrm, seems wiki has updated its antimatter pages since I last checked it a few months ago. Now it's saying about 75% would be converted to neutrinos, so about 50% of the blast energy I estimated.

Far from it; bunch of buildings get knocked down, but across the world, most major cities would be in panic mode, but not destroyed assuming decent building code. If you are far enough away for the fireball to be below the horizon, you are safe from a large majority of the gamma rays, which won't go more than a short distance through the earth before hitting something. The planet would probably heat up significantly though, and that combined with the particulate matter blocking out sunlight would result in a mass extinction event and certainly reduce populations alot, but in the end, humans and other life forms would survive. It would actually be several magnitudes less energy than was release during the theorized K-T event asteroid.

Uh. Looking at the figures leads me to believe that this sort of scale would destroy more than just the earth.

Just how wrong where Silfurdreki's calculations? If we're still even remotely able to compare the blast to a supernova, we're probably looking at causing damage, or at least effecting the sun. If that happens, there would probably be a chain reaction. Possibly a second from Jupiter as well.

Basically you could say I'm just asking: How much is this blast going to restructure the inner solar-system? :P

Buildings knocked down? By what?
The kinetic energy of photons is very, very small.
