Captain Johnson keeps going towards the church (6) and gets there without any problems. He delivers the message to the colonel.
"Ah, I see. We are allowed to use heavy weaponry, and must clear the lair from which those bastards keep coming. Let's go."
Capt. Johnson and some other men go to the lair entrance.
"Okay. Private Douglas will lead. The center is in the basement of this apartment. Once we get there, we burn everything."
The group enters the apartment. There is some biomass growing on the walls and the smell of infection is strong. The soldier leading the group has a flamethrower. It is pitch black so a few soldiers are using flashlights to light the surroundings for the group. Something can be seen moving in the end of the tunnel.
"It's probably a horde of infected humans. Squad, open fire!"

"The morale of the soldiers is pretty bad. In most missions about half of a squad dies. Bandits are prevalent, but not very dangerous. They only attack the weak, so they don't earn enough money for good equipment. By the way, we were searching for a bandit leader, a certain Harland. He deals in information trade for the wrong people. We have captured one of his bodyguards not long ago and found out that now, he should be at the abandoned bar in sector 31 with only a minimal amount of guards. We would be grateful if you lead a small team to capture or kill him. I could pay you 2000 credits."

Some civilians can also be seen, taking shelter from the dangerous outside world. There is an entrance to the metro tunnels, leading much deeper into the zone, but getting a gas mask first is highly recommended.
