How is that even possible? It's a regular human right? Elven left hand weights just few urists and a human lower leg is quite a bit heavier, and should be impossible to sever even with mace or maul. I have ran several mace-using characters and never got mutilations.

I call BS.

The game's probably modded so longswords slash attack has been replaced with punch or punch has been given insane damage.

It was not modded at all and I have no idea how it happened. I got an opportunistic strike with a punch and this is what happened.

This was in 100% vanilla DF.

They were at dabbling (fighting was way higher, though). This is why it was so amazing and I posted a screenshot of it (and I have never severed anything from a blunt attack, much less a fist). I assume the leader was quite skinny, otherwise I don't know how that would have happened.

Nope it is the latest version.

It was a very spectacular occurrence. I was kind of in shock of what actually happened for a few moments after it did.

I've had a peasant blast the upper torso of a FB off with one punch, some creatures just aren't made of stern stuff.
