Sorrel grins. "It seems like I'm the only one here with the means to get some honest money. Now, I could lend some to you, but... There would need to be compensation. If anyone wants to borrow some after I play a few songs, you're welcome to, but I never forget a face, and I can call in some favors..."

"Well, someone's gotta have a job for mercenaries if this province is holding together; someone's got to be the glue."

Chrain frowns again, scratching the side of his face with a gloved hand"Ehh... I do not enjoy mercenary work very much comrade, It is not what a Champion would like be known for... But if that is all there is.."He shrugged slightly with another audible creak of the chair

*Shrug* "We don't have to kill people, you know. There could be jobs to kill beasts and such. Much cleaner."

*sigh* Violence, violence, violence. All that these people seem to think about.

Sorrel gave up on the group and went to go play some songs for cash.

TURN 1: Intriguing Leads

Interesting RP, I'm gonna feel bad about murdering you all. :P

Quote from: Tarran
Go to the nearest Inn, and look for jobs.
[2][Luck 3] Alas, no opportunities present themselves.

Quote from: choobakka
She decides to look for a tavern where she could play some songs for money.
[4][Luck 5] A trio of men sitting in a nearby booth are interested in hearing some music. They also think you're adorable.

[1][Luck 4] Unfortunately, they've got crap taste in music. At least some nearby patrons didn't seem to mind, and they'd probably pay you for a "real" song.

Quote from: SeriousConcentrate
He went ahead and entered the inn that the smell was coming from and looked around for anyone who looked like they might be offering work
[1][Luck 1] Glancing away from the kobold, you notice a reasonably well-dressed man sitting nearby. He meets your gaze with silent shock and outrage. He gets up in a huff and storms off to the other side of the room.

You're really not sure what just happened.

Quote from: Powder Miner
April found a bulletin on the wall and moved close to it, covering up most of the papers inadvertently as she looked around.
[5][Luck 2] You notice quite a few jobs from wealthy clients. Unfortunately they look old and probably already completed; still, they're at least potential contacts, if you wanted to look into them.

+SP: Contact Reading

Quote from: Dwarmin
Actions: Go into the inn and look for work
[4][Luck 5] A man on one side of the room handwaves away an enraged-looking human fop, before rising and sauntering over to you.

"Well well well, what have we here..." he says, eyeing you like he's trying to be sleazy and condescending. "Looks like someone looking for work. Real work," he adds, quickly drawing his thumb across his throat. "Lord Ira's in need of some quality help."

Quote from: Riccto
Chrain otherwise sat at the bar, somewhat cramped and looking for work
[5][Luck 1] You manage to overhear two people talking. One's a young woman in respectable robes, the other's a man in ragged peasant clothes who looks decidedly like a frightened rabbit. In mannerisms, he's not chaos-warped.

"But I think they said they're mercenaries," the man whines, glancing at several other patrons.

"Even mercenaries need to eat, Jol. Besides, the men we're looking for fight for glory, not gold," the woman says confidently.

"But we haven't got anything," he very nearly sobs.

Then they notice you leaning in their direction and nearly jump out of their skins, quickly glancing around for someone to hide behind or protect them. Between a half-demon, cat-thing, smaller cat-thing, kobold, distracted woman, and the bar's other patrons, they don't seem to have many options.

Spoiler: Sorrel (choobakka) (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Chrain (Riccto) (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Enigma Unscien (TolyK) (click to show/hide)

TolyK, just take two actions next turn.

Also, I'm floored that you all wandered into an inn and (mostly) decided to work together. I figured getting you all into a party would be like herding cats. :P

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

April sighed. "I swear, I'm going to starve. I just need a job of any kind that's available now...."
