The thing I love most about this game

I've been playing DF since the 2D days. I play intensely for a good few months, then burnout and put it down for a little while, then pick it back up... and so on. Every time I do, its like picking up a new game, so much has changed. Just wanted to express my amazement at the pure awesome that are my little hairy bastards.

Aye, same here. Loving it to death in small quantities. If I had a time machine, I'd use it to travel to the future and bring Dwarf fortress of that time to the present. Though I can't help but wonder if our current machines would be able to handle it.  :-\

That's about how I am. I'm on the "burned out" stage now. I will certainly play some adventure mode once the new version comes out, depending on how burned out I am, I may play new forts before and/or after it comes out.

I am burned out too. I keep genning worlds, and Alt+ctrl+delete-ing coz I'm not happy with my embark or the worlds too small or there's not enough elves to kill, etc etc etc.

;_; But I wanna play it so bad.

Yeah, I'm really digging every update because they all pile on each other and result in exponentially more possibilities all over the place in-game. It's easy to get burned out at this point, but as we get more and more of a game I'm sure there'll be much more fun to be had.
