The five reach the storm quickly. The flashes of light blind the party for heartstopping seconds now that they have entered the storm's area. The blinding flashes grow longer, going from simple colors to images, too swift to see. The looming, black clouds block out the sun as they rain on the intrepid adventurers. A low buzzing noise picks up, then lowers into a soft white noise screech. It seems to get worse the further they go into the storm.

"Perhaps they've all taken refuge from the storm," Kevin said. He stayed as hidden as was possible, though. Just because there wasn't an immediate threat didn't mean there wouldn't be one soon. "That sound is also worrisome. I'm going to investigate it." He glanced at the others, then started heading in the direction it was coming from.

Having lost his patience, Leon's figure suddenly drops from a tree a few feet away from the others. He is hanging upside down from it. Leon whispers from his teeth just loud enough so the party could hear:
"Can you all be quite? Your'll break my cover."
He then proceeds to swing upward again and proceeds to very quitely jump from tree to tree toward the storm. Upon reaching his fourth tree he seems to slip a little, and raises his hand to his face. Leon shakes his head a bit and keeps jumping.

(have some mood music)

The party spreads out a bit as it continues cautiously towards the eye of the storm. The trees in the area soon grow thinner and eventually vanish entirely, forcing Leon to travel on the ground. The terrain turns rocky and blasted, desolate and unfriendly. The flashes of light grow more and more frequent, and soon you are able to make out faint images of things, people dying,  cities crumbling, kingdoms toppling, women crying, horrible visages of hideous monsters. Cryptic and unfamiliar imagery and symbols flash before your eyes. The rain picks up, leaving dark spots on your clothing. The terrain seems to climb a bit, before suddenly emptying out before you, leaving the five of you standing before... something.



You've found your pit.
