No one knows to who he was born, not even Leon himself. All he knows is that he was abandoned, and that he came with two different eyes, one red and one blue. He was left at the door of a Thieves guild, and, againist all probability, was taken in by an old thief who's life was fading. He fathered him, and taught him the ways of a thief. He learned about silence, and how to navigate his environment in numberous ways. His life was harsh, but it paid off. However, he was treated as scum by both other theives and villagers. Many believed he was cursed. He was shuned. But his old master always showed respect to him, and told him to show respect, dispite being a thief. However, the old man could not live to see his entire childhood. He died when Leon was simply seven, and life only went downhill from there. Thieves, no longer held back by the grizzled old man, freely insulted him and treated him as scum. The townspeople were no different, some may even worse, to him. At age eight, he ran away from the town and his thieves guild. He lived alone on the streets, living off what he could and training himself without the guiding hand of a master. He became anti-social, only living for himself. However, he still showed a small bit of respect and mercy for human life, and tried to help it in small ways. One day when he was ten, however, he came across a large man he had stolen from. At first, the man wanted revenge for his stolen money. However, when he saw Leon's broken state he offered to take it in. Seeing an escape from the hopless proverty and endless saddness, he accepted wholeheartedly. The man took him to his home, where the boy had a real family for the first time. The man became his only friend. He taught him about life, and too listen and look for everyone of its details. This was Leon's favorite point in his life.
It would not last.
As it turned out, the man had upsetted a very infamous crimelord. He used to fight againist the man, trying to hurt his orginization in any way possible, in order to stop the mans endless crimes. Eventully, he grew tried of his personal war and feld the country to escape the man. The Crimelord, known as Rager, did not forget easily, as it seems. He had chased the man for three years, and had finally found him. Leon was 13 when he came knocking on the door, and the man told Leon to hide when he noticed it was him. He confronted Rager, and tryed to negotiate with him. Rager was not amused, and told his men to kill him in the most painfull way as possible. So Leon watched the only man that had ever showed him real compassion and taught him about the world for the first time killed from where he hid. When he was dead, Rager and his men walked away laughing. When they were far enough away, Leon rushed to his only friend. He was already dead for a long time.
From that moment onward, he swore to kill the man that took away the only thing he really had in his life.
He packed the man's old clothing and his dagger and ran off to avenge him. After a short while of hunting for the man, he relized he needed a way to make money. He started selling himself out as an assassin or spy. Lying about his age (He was old enough at this point to pose as an adult), he took on the missions to take a life. As life for him progressed, he became more and more obessed about killing the man. Slowly, the rage on the inside took over him. He lost respect for the lives he took, and always worked toward the next peice of evidence to Ragers whereabouts. He also became hateful and exclusive, giving snarkish and negative comments about people, and also saying he does not care if they live or die. However, he seems to still have that small bit of respect for life. and is sometimes willing to help people in need.
His motivation of the quest he goes on is that its simply another job that may give him a link to Rager. Thats what he says anyway. What you won't hear him saying is that its also partly because he wants to help.
