He looked around the reletively unchanged bar room, and takes a seat on an empty table near the others.

Leon stares over to a another man, and with a sigh the man orders them a drink. The nearest barmaid drops off two beers at their table.

He says, taking a drink from his newly obtained beer glass.

Anyway, pits in the earth usually have treasure in them, either hidden by bandits or just dropped by whatever the wolves dragged in to eat. That ought to be a good start if the rumors are true, and even moreso if we run into poorly equipped bandits on the way. If it's actual ruins or somesuch, we might even find something better."
