"Maybe so. We should definitely stay alert." He looked around. "Maybe you four should grab a torch too, just in case we get separated. I'd hate for you to be stumbling around down here in the dark..."

Daniel wonders why the guy with the longest weapon isn't first, and follows in the back. He also should get a torch or something. He also takes the various chopping implements and examines their usefulness as last resorts.

Daniel picks up an Improvised (-1 to-hit) Iron Dagger and a Green-Flame Torch. Kevin also picks up a Green-Flame Torch.

Leon kicks the door down. It leads into a crumbling stone hallway. There are double doors across from him, and it looks like the hallway goes into an intersection.

Daniel opens the double doors. I mean, really?
"Does anyone have string and a huge stick? I need to make another spear."

Aso walks into the hallway, without a care in the world for traps.

"Good idea." Kevin also picks up one of the carving implements, so as to have a melee weapon, and puts it away. Torch raised, he takes the rearguard position.

Leon follows Aso from behind, trying to out-careless her.

Leon watchs from behind, thinking about what insane force made him kick down the door like that.

Daniel opens the rusty doors, which lead into the dining room. Dust covers every surface, especially the long dining table in the middle. The gold chandelier has broken off and hit it, shattering and spilling everywhere. There are some cabinets filled with dented, bent and rusty silverware and shattered china and glass. Part of the stonework has collapsed entirely, leaving undisturbed dirt exposed. It'd probably be a fair job searching to find anything in here.

Aso strolls into the hallway, which splits into three other directions. One of them is darkened, the other two are lit up by torches. At the end of one of the lit ones is a spiral staircase going down.
