Jon awkened slowly, reaching for his pistol he opens up the cylinder, checking how many rounds he has and jamming it into his hip holster. He then slowly walks over to the door, opening up and reading the letter

"DEAD MAN'S HANG. LETTER WILL BE THERE"

Hey, that's out of town. Like, really out of town. A mile outside of town.

One of them woke up at the sound. He had been having one of those odd dreams. Not a violent one-those were real. In this dream he was in a cage...he knows he can leave the cage ay any time, but he doesn't, because he belongs there. Eventually, it gets harder and harder to stay there...he always breaks free, and the dream ends.

Probably too much Daniels before bed...hah, to Hell with psychoanalyais, he had work to do...

He walked over the door and stooped to pick up the letter. No creak in the back nowadays, no shortness of breath...in fact, he was feeling better than ever. A whole new man.

Dead Man's Hang-that was a way out. Surely, his employers weren't "afraid" of being seen, right? Surely.

Slip on my wallet, iron knuckles and my weapon and head out the door. Try and hail a taxi...

The taxi pulls over and lets Desmond on. The taxi driver is silent the whole way.

The taxi has to stop at a roadblock. Apparently, there has been a murder.

Jon scratched his head at the letter "Might be a job. Could be needing one anyways" Jon throws on his coat and straightens his tie as much as possible, he reaches into his drawer and drops as many slugs as he could into his coat pocket and places the trench knife in the pocket opposite to the one he placed the slugs in
Jon heads out of his room and out onto the street, walking where he could before hailing a cab

The taxi stops for Jon, but the driver is a bit annoying.

He is stopped at the same roadblock.

Jon got out of the cab quickly, paying his fare, if he didnt have the funds to pay his fare he got out particularly quickly to examine the murder.

He managed to examine the murder well. Wound in the chest cavity, obviously claw wound. Slightly chewed, mainly around stomach. Blood everywhere. The victim seems to be clutching some paper in his hands.

A police officer walks in front of Jon, blocking his view.

"Hey, it's Jon. What the fuck are you doing here?"

Desmond thinks he knows why the cab drivers are always quiet. I mean, before, they would see him and start talking, right? Just two working guys, having a few friendly words to ease the tension. Now...they know. Somewhere, deep down, people know what he is up close. Maybe it's the smell...an inhuman stink, like raw meat left in the sun. But it's very  subtle...you can't quite place it. If you look at him straight on, he looks just as human as anyone, but look at him from the very corner of your eye...right on the edge of your periphal vision...you see something alot worse then, just a glimmer. A crack in the mask. Then they usually turn around real quick, but all they see is this guy, normal as can be. He can see them rearranging their mental sand castles after that. "Eh, one drink too many...stop being paranoid...probably just a trick of the light...". By then, it's far too late.

Something he's learned, the reason monsters like him can walk around is because no one wants to believe what see with their own eyes.

He wonders if they'll let him near the crime scene. Most cops think he's a reporter when he walks up, let him right in with a few nice words. Some take bribes. Recently, he'll get a little nod from one of them, and the lines will part. Some of them work for his employers too. Alot of them actually. Not a nice thing to think about.

I pay the cabby-extra large tip-and get out of the cab to investigate the crime scene.

He gets the same details, plus one very important one.

The victim's eyes are purely black.

A different police officer steps in front of the body.

"Hey, look the fuck away!"

Jon smiled and shrugged slowly as he officer stepped infront of him "Just taking a look at what slowed my trip. What happened? Or atleast. What do you think happened?"

Natasha read the note, then got on her motorbike/bicycle, she did not believe in letting other people drive, so a taxi was right out. Then she headed towards this "dead man's hang", wondering why they couldn't give her more info

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Jon shrugged with a smile as he waved to the officer as he hiked around the road block "Alright Alright. You dont have to tell me twice." Jon jammed his hands into his pockets as he walked along the route to his destination
