I never saw a turret walking by itself... so ain't there a way to make it stuck somewhere by making it claim a building and still be able to fight?

Just pasture it. The dwarves will drag it to the pasture.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

I don't want the turret to move at all. I want it to be completely immobile. Pasturing animals go at dwarf speed, not their speed.

I mean to place it in a position where you want it to defend. Think of pasturing as the dwarves picking up the turret and placing somewhere else.

Exactly. That's what pasturing is.

I want the turrets to not move independently.

That's the point. They'll drag it there, and it'll stay there. Unless it moves right now.

I don't think it can move as of now. I want the damn thing to fire faster though...

FIXED: I made them not drown like a fish on land, and I made the flame turret have a different name. That way you know if you are going to have Fun.

I've already started one of these in the SLADE thread, have a look. You're welcome to borrow from the design.

I looked at it and...

You have too many bones and such. Your turrets can bleed and such. They also are affected by human poisons. I'll probably make my own versions of the cubes :P

I'm going to add [POWER] to my companion cubes  :P

What you're saying is you need a facility to properly test these devices?

Actually, the arena mode might work for this sort of thing. You can't make saves, but you can edit the map in a couple ways.

I know, I am testing them with the arena.

What I'm thinking of is adventure mode "Test chambers" for people to solve.
