Um, just keep getting confused. What is our Ideal Environment again? Looking at that MapViewer thing says everyone has an Ideal Env of 150...
That's about the only control on there that's not completely self-explanatory. You type in a number there, and then when you click on the habitability button, it shows habitability of planets for a race with that ideal environment. To see what planets you can colonize profitably, you'd want to put 160 in there. I enter 190, and so on.

Also, you forgot your research bonus, and your growth rate is 5.5%, not 6%.
As for terraforming, you spend 500p for each point you want to shift it, times the planet's size. For a size 10 planet, you pay 5000p per point, for a size 3 planet, 1500p per, and so on.

EDIT: A few points of contention.

1- The map was never updated, why?

2- The map says that my ideal env. is 150, while it's 70

3- I have researched something, and am a little confused as to how far along I am on researching it.

The game was reset due to people leaving. We're on turn 1 again, with a different map this time.

Don't see why not; you weren't doing anything with other planets, and your planet's the same. (Well, its environment might be 10 points above your ideal instead of below, or vice versa, but that's a wash.)
Edit: Although there's one thing you'll need to fix. Your planet's environment being 10 points away from your ideal is deliberate, which reduces population growth to 90% of normal, and forces you to pay 2500 credits in environmental upkeep.

Gah, The environment upkeep price is UNGODLY. I had to spend all of my p on terraforming the planet so that I wouldn't have to pay for it.
