Oh hai guyz

I used to play back in the days of 0.31.14, the days of acid rain and if a single drop of blood was spilled anywhere where a dwarf would ever tread, it would soon spread to everywhere in your entire fortress, dooming the entire thing to a painful, lagging death

unfortunately, I had to stop playing due to uni and finding myself a gf =[
So whats changed since those days? what are the new bugs features ways of having FUN?

Are danger rooms still viable? can we still colonize the circus and force dem beardless bastards to feast on !!!plump helmets!!!?
Anything I should be aware of before starting a new fort?

You can now make rock pots, which function like barrels.
Dragons can also claw your limbs off too.

although, I imagine it would take months for a dwarf to move a rock pot from one end of the fort to another...

You are mistaken. We do not have rock bins. Bins, along with charcoal and beds, are one of the only real uses left for wood.

Would be pretty awesome though to have rock bins.

Anyways, you now have pottery industry, beekeeping, herbivorous animals must graze at grass that grows outside on most biomes and inside once you have broken the caverns.

Also, badgers. Try embarking on a savage temperate shrubland.

Quite often they're the cause of a trantrum spiral to to impaled pets/babies, as well as the occasional broken limb, but otherwise they can make a leg+5 in Armor user, Shield user and weapon user in less than a minute.

I don't want to sound like a meme but you're doing it wrong!  Never stop doing what you enjoy.  It's even better if you can combine two things you enjoy

Don't enable Item Hauling on her or she'll do nothing but bring home clothes, shoes and decorated metalcrafts from outside your fort.  It's also a bit of a cheat but if you define several 1x1 meeting areas on comfortable furniture then you'll socialize a lot quicker
