Yes, I think you summed it up right. 2012 is definitely the "!!11!!ONEONEONE!" end of the world scenario, because it could be literally anything, from a meteor wiping out the Bible Belt to and earth shattering kaboom orchestrated by some space aliens to Sarah Palin saying something I can understand. This is, if it happens.

That's probably the most absurd thing I've ever heard. You betcha, indeed.

It's too bad I probably won't outlive all of those predictions. I'm certainly going to try, though. I'd really love to see makind "decide to leave the boundaries of the universe."

The Rapture was supposed to be today, with Armageddon lasting until early October, when the world would finally be destroyed.

That's still the same doomsday prediction as the may 21 prediction. Apparently God isn't supposed to finish destroying the world until October. Which is odd, because usually it is easier to destroy things than to put them together, so one would think that it would take him under six days, rather than several months...

Dude, we're gonna go against magma creatures. Our planet will crumble to it's end quickly. I doubt even the artifact bullets could harm them.

edit: Darn, not-so-stealth Ninjaed.  Teaches me for being too obvious.  Anyhow, how about this additional thought, in the place of the above...

The Rapture occurred.  Nobody (that anyone noticed) got Raptured because they didn't deserve it, especially the Fundies who believed in it.  October will still happen.  (But, as it were, November won't.)
