I found out today that the leader of this has said that the End will begin this Sunday with doomsday earthquakes, begining in New Zealand (sorry Jackrabbit) at 6:00 PM local, and continue to all the other time zones when they reach 6:00 PM. By then 200 million people (You have a 3% chance of being within that number, given the world population.) will be Raptured, followed by the Sun turning blood red. I'd have to think that then the events of Revelation would then take place, as he's said that Earth will be destroyed by October 21, 2011.

It's a good thing he's batshit crazy, or I'd be worried about all of this.

I've seen people walking around New York and Philadelphia handing out pamphlets about this and wearing hysterical t-shirts. They seemed about as enthusiastic as if they were handing out flyers for a local pizza place. If I sincerely believed the end of the world was coming, I'd have a little more energy. So, in yhe face of Armageddon, wouldn't the Christian thing to do be the opposite of praying/hoping to be raptured? That is, to stay behind and care for all the poor lost souls as they perish in agony? That seems pretty much like what the J-Dude would do.

This is almost similar to Old Testament stuff. Everyone Jesus (who is God as well because shut up) thinks is worth caring for is going up and everyone else stays behind to suffer because, well, we'll find out, I suppose.
