Anyway. I will be very disappointed (and maybe in jail) if this does not go off.

Here's fingers crossed for next week.

Remember, soldiers are people too. I know that in conversation amongst my platoon, we've all already planned some zombie responses (of course, mine were the best thought out and most detailed, so we all adopted them). I really doubt that the higher occifers are any different.

Strife and his platoon of rag-tag troops consisting of generic stereotypes stop Rapture.

Matthew 24:36

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

This.

Silly fundies, you totally forgot that verse!

In any case, if the world does end, hell, at least I'll be able to skip my defensive driving class. Odds are, though, that everything will be just as it was on the morning of the 22nd.

I'm mostly thinking that it isn't going to happen.

But there's some part of me, someplace deep inside that beleives it is, and it's afraid i'm not going to be accepted...

You know what we should do? After this weekend, insist we are living in a post-apocolyptic world, and are not one of god's elect few chosen souls.

It's a golden opportunity to murder somebody you don't like, if nothing else.

You're right... 2:4:36!!  The rapture will occur on the second of April 2036!  (or the 4th of February 2036 if you're American.  Hmm, I wonder what type of date God uses...?)

At least we'll get an advanced warning of about 2 months.

Clearly that means it's in the year 2436. But the big question is, would it be the Gregorian calendar?

2436 b'ak'tun is quite a distance away, is what I'm saying.

Do share, please. I'm interested to hear a zombie plan from someone who HAS military training.

Unix epoch time.  Which is in seconds...  So, happened very early on (UK time) in the morning on 1/Jan/1970....

Unless it's a hand-written malformation of ipv6-type notation.  Let's see, what does 0002:0004:0036:0:0:0:0:0 come out as?

Well, needless to say, it's a long time in the future....

(::2:4:36 would also be beyond the 32-bit overflow point, in 2038, but if I didn't drop a digit in my calculationsI think it comes out to be late March, year 2242)

As opposed to:

Would be interesting, in a trolish way, to hold that one up to a devote Christian that believed in the rapture.
