it is really tough to start out right away but what you need to do is hang around other npcs like traders or city guards to get your skill up. Also you should have "block" on at the start so you can exclusively skill up blocking while surviving using the +20 defensive skill bonus you get from concentrating on blocks.

There are now training dummys you can build though you wont be able to build a house and then build the dummies at the start, but there are some buildings around towns, specicfically recruitment(not bars) buildings. Idk if any are in the starting town. You can use them to skill up attack skill but its not the fastest thing.

Huh, just saw there was an update on the ninth and nobody posted aboot it.
"This is the first building update.  Its only the start, future updates will be adding to it."
-BUILDING: Get enough building materials and you can build your own structures outside of towns.
-If you own a building, you can now lock the doors (using the right-click menu).  Enemies will be forced to bash their way in.
-You can build various item storage containers indoors.
-Healing rate is halved, but is 5x faster if resting in a bed.  If unbandaged, resting in a bed will prevent the wounds from getting worse.
-You can carry an unconcious character and put them in a bed to recover.
-You can use training dummies to improve your attack skills
-Shopkeepers refresh their inventory every 20 minutes

Guess I should go ahead and try it out since I haven't played this in several months. The shopkeepers changing inventory is probably pretty damn important, perhaps as much as building and stuff.

Same here; Kenshi falls off my radar fairly easily for some reason, though I love the game and have been waiting ages for these building updates. Thanks for the heads up!

I once shot a bear in the eye with a bow on the first shot, cut it up, found another one, and shot it in the eye too. The collective pile of meat weighed more than my house.

I have to ask, is the game good?
Like, would it be worth begging a parent to let me put it on our computer?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I would personally reccomend waiting a bit.  As of now, there is a limited number of things to do, mostly because interactions with npc's are currently shop/recruit/kill.  There is a little base building, but it takes a... rather large time investment to get to that point, at least if you want more than a shack, and nothing much comes of it for now because npc's don't yet populate/interact with your base.

Probably no reason other than it giving them a larger B-peen.

Very true....heck like 2 months ago adding grass to the game in sparse amounts was a milestone...that's pretty alpha XD
