TBH I knew about Kenshi probably before most if not all people in this board - I used to hunt for any game project that fit my interests and keep them on a bookmark folder and follow its development..I stopped doing that some time ago since it's pretty depressing as around 80-90% them died. Most have been in early access for years, and the only one I remember that got released seemed to be disappointing..
And it's one of the most "Try before you buy" cases out there, to the point I really think they should put out a demo.
It's slowly shaping up to be a fun and unique game. But there's so many clunky things under the hood it worries me if it will ever reach any 'polished' state. Last time I played was 2-3 months ago, and I found one or two bugs that I remember finding and reporting way over a year ago..so yeah.
Workshop support and mods took some of my worries away, though. The addition of stealth and stealth takedowns added a whole new layer of silliness and fun, and new ways to reach your goals.
The concept is damn cool and the only similar thing I remember playing is Survivalist, and that one has a WAY smaller scope (to the point that people can call me crazy for doing such comparison).
Anyways, I probably said this on this thread already, but IMO I'd only buy this once it's finished..unless you're absolutely interested in it and/or satisfied with what's already implemented.
