Be careful with talking about illegal downloads.

Not allowed on the boards, at least not in such blatant terms.

Download the demo, hint hint wink wink the game is not expensive and does see sales.

If you post links to illegal material (files that are being illegally distributed, ie unsanctioned commercial game/music torrents/downloads, etc.) or post illegal images (or images that would have been behind 18+ warnings, etc.), you will be banned.  Don't ask for links or otherwise ask to be directed to places where you can download/obtain things like that either, even if the situation is somewhat more lax in your locality.
He didn't ask for or post any links, so I'd be surprised if anything happened.

E: But like I said, just be careful.

Still best to keep it on the down-low, rather then explicit.

I just hope if you 'try it out' that you end up purchasing it down the line. This is a 5-person indie team working here, not some triple-A game studio.

I am sort of confused. What is there to do in this game? Just run around killing things?

Get knocked out, stripped, put in a cage, and sold.
Knock people out, strip them, put them in a cage, carry them to the local sheriff for bounty.
Make an outpost.
Join trade caravan as bodyguard.
Join trade caravan as lurker and corpse picker over.
Start a trade caravan.

What do you do in any sandbox game?

I was interested.
Then I saw dudes walking in those weird Japanese raised wooden sandals on sand.

It's not that big of a deal.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So there's a video of people running in tengu geta, and a video of people walking on sand in heels. Now if only I could find a video of people running on sand in tengu geta.

Always. :) I've happily spent significant sums on independent developers, and I certainly plan to do so again once I'm not struggling.

And apologies but I don't do "down low." I fear the convenience of deception more than the consequences of sincerity, to be frank.

I've been around for enough years, and have enough common sense, to know the limits of what can and cannot be said. :) Not to mention I would never be dumb enough to ask for such a thing. If you need to ask, you don't know enough to be doing it safely in the first place.

Cheers~

TBH I knew about Kenshi probably before most if not all people in this board - I used to hunt for any game project that fit my interests and keep them on a bookmark folder and follow its development..I stopped doing that some time ago since it's pretty depressing as around 80-90% them died. Most have been in early access for years, and the only one I remember that got released seemed to be disappointing..
And it's one of the most "Try before you buy" cases out there, to the point I really think they should put out a demo.

It's slowly shaping up to be a fun and unique game. But there's so many clunky things under the hood it worries me if it will ever reach any 'polished' state. Last time I played was 2-3 months ago, and I found one or two bugs that I remember finding and reporting way over a year ago..so yeah.
Workshop support and mods took some of my worries away, though. The addition of stealth and stealth takedowns added a whole new layer of silliness and fun, and new ways to reach your goals.
The concept is damn cool and the only similar thing I remember playing is Survivalist, and that one has a WAY smaller scope (to the point that people can call me crazy for doing such comparison).

Anyways, I probably said this on this thread already, but IMO I'd only buy this once it's finished..unless you're absolutely interested in it and/or satisfied with what's already implemented.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

I prefer slow-burn constant development over none at all. He works on it as best he can, and it's certainly come a long way since its inception.
