Honey badger just don't give a shit...
« on: May 05, 2011, 10:42:35 pm »

It just started a fight with the giant leopard that guards the entrance to my keep......  It bit him a few times before it got torn to pieces, and honey badger still just didn't give a shit lol.

This is true in real life as well.  American zookeepers refuse to keep badgers due to their violence.  They'll gladly house alligators, lions, tigers, hippos, and sharks within a 5 acre area, but refuse to handle something the size of a dog.  Keep in mind that the PRONE_TO_RAGE token was made entirely to accommodate badgers.  They are the carp of olden days... except they walk on land and go after your food.

Just think of any badger as a sober dwarf. A scary thought

Should you fail to comply, strict !!disciplinary actions!! will be taken. Also, we feel we should remind you that one of the "criminals" on your list is the chief medical dwarf. If he ends up too badly injured to do his job, you will be fired. Out of a magma cannon.
Sincerely,
The Administration

Yeah, I didn't even realize that it had actually fought the giant leopard to the death until i looked at the front of my keep and saw blood everywhere.  For something so little it sure held it's own though....  Breeding program time!  I bet they are exotic though...

Elves will semi-reliably bring badgers and giant badgers.  I strongly suggest buying ANY giant badgers you can, as a handful will turn back a siege.  Breed them, and you're invincible...

Badger: 15,000
Badger Man: Unsure, it's modified according to [CV_NEW_TAG:GRAVITATE_BODY_SIZE:70000] but this purpose isn't directly know.
Giant Badger: 30,000 (Giant variants are 200% larger than their normal counterparts.)
Honey Badger Boar: 14,000
Honey Badger Sow: 9,000

I think other types of badgers steer clear of honey badgers due to the danger involved in associating with them ...

Badgers are actually BIGGER than those vicious dwarf-slayers?

An eight foot tall (if they're giant) sober dwarf with teeth...
Giant Badgers recently brought my pop down from 19 to 12

Tame war giant badgers aren't as savage as the wild ones are, sadly.
