That's wrong. Giant Badgers have their [CHANGE_BODY_SIZE_PERC] tag removed and another one added instead:
[CHANGE_BODY_SIZE_PERC:2040]
They are 20 times larger than regular badger, larger that grizzly bears. That's why they shred dwarves in pieces with ease.

Actually, many giant animal versions have been increased in size greatly with some of the new releases. New sizes for giant felines make a giant tiger weigh almost 2 tons!

Oh, I didn't notice that Giant Badgers had their own size defined there...  Fair enough.  That makes them a ton and a half of bloodthirsty, rage-inducing fur and tooth.  I had one bite off a farmer's head in my current fort...

Especially Honey Badgers are fearless berserk assholes irl indeed. And the Giant Badgers which plod around my fortress are a hefty nuisance as well, really.

Actually, that's just the formula he uses to come up with the CHANGE_BODY_SIZE_PERC value, and the giant badger's size multiplier seemingly doesn't use that formula - if you do the math on the actual values in the raws, giant badgers are size 306000.

I deem war badgers as a necessary addition to any fortress. They're actually very useful, reproduce often, and will kill all problems.

War honey badgers, however... I don't think that should be approached.
I've seen a honey badger kill a water buffalo, walking away with only a scratched leg. No war honey badgers.

er ok bad example, but hey, maybe he was intentionally aiming for getting his tusks stuck in the mud so the guy could scramble out of the way? What an adorable creature
