What would they be? Dogs with massive, long snouts that fire rockets through their head? Instead of BANG, they could go *WOOF*

This is Funny. Actually Russian Anti Tank Dogs are not. The dogs were trained to find food under Tanks, and then they were loaded with bombs and sent out onto the Battle field. The fact the German tanks had no food under them wasn't the worst part of the scenario for the dogs.
I thought thay stopped using those because the dogs kept going for the russian tanks instead?

It was a problem, caused by the Russians training the dogs on diesel using Russian tanks and the Germans using gasoline engines.

It felt a bit like a movie in which two stoners try to steal a military helicopter

See also the US WWII bat bomb. It's all a bit wrong.

That's a great idea. Too bad the bats don't have a very high chance for survival...

Pretty much zero-to-nil to be more precise.

I mean, DF War Dogs usually don't have a much better shot, but real militaries kinda look down on that.

Dogs are great, they can be used for so many things.

This is one of my favorite articles featuring dogs being useful:

I'm quite surprised that we haven't had the Shakespeare quote yet,

Hey I think my kid's kindergarten class uses a reading dog.  He brought home a bottle of bubble solution the other day and said a dog gave it to him after he read stories to it.

As much as I like that idea, the cynic in me doesn't like when educators lie to young children for any reason; I think it engenders the kind of lack of critical thinking ability and skepticism that plagues our adult culture.

I'm referring to things like this:
Quote
"When Danny goes to sleep I tell the children that he's dreaming about their story."

Christ, my elementary school teachers lied to me about enough things, never mind telling kids that dogs can understand stories read to them.
