We're a science company not a pharmaceutical company!

We have plenty of good manageroids to test on!

Portal team should work on the explodyportal's ability to conceal itself so we can bid on the moving landmine.

The first thornshooter dies.
the third one dies.
the eleventh one as well.
the 74th one, however, does not. It fails to pierce the manageroid and lacks a reload, however.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

They died from fail growing, not diseases, so theres nothing to prevent yet. Good idea, though.
The thornshooter is mutated into a more baton-like shape, then evolved with a reload-like mechanism.

Right, time to add something.

Make it thrive in dry and cold areas. That way, we can have less failures!

The developers fail at growing it any better, so they just enrich the soil and grow several more to use as Prototypes.

One of them suggests outsourcing the growing to speed up the thriving, and is swiftly HAMMER'D. We don't need help doing SCIENCE!

Alright, motherfucker.

Picture the scene.

You are a crackhead in an inner city slum. You live to get another drop of that precious ichor that greases the wheels of your short, brutish and horrifying life. You are barely holding together in your shack when a crowbar smashes your face in. You are dragged off to a gleaming white lab, and a seed is planted in you, something about thorn guns thriving in human bodies. You are kept in your room for weeks, and not allowed to eat anything apart from water. Suddenly, you are in immense pain. You start vomiting. Blood. Something is piercing your skin. Thorns burst through your chest, draining blood from your system. You watch as the most beautiful rose grows from your chest, stained with blood and you fade out.

Rename the project Sangre Espinas and make it so the rose thrives in human bodies!
