Area Attack for a weapon.
« on: May 04, 2011, 10:15:01 am »

I want to make a weapon, that hits everything within a small radius......is that possible?

If so, i can finally make "PK Ground" as a weapon for my "Dwarfbound" mod i'm still working on.

Do you mean like a hand grenade or like one of the Left 4 Dead boomers?

To get a boomer, use an area of effect breath attack (Dust will kill the user, and knock everyone over. All the others will just shoot gas from pores).

If you want a grenade, the only thing I can think of would be a thrown container of booze (would a flask work?), and then lighting it with fire or magma.

Not sure. You should ask IT 000. He has a shotgun in Corrosion mod.

afraid to say that's not possible. The shotgun in corrosion is just a stronger single bullet gun. AOE just isn't possible right now via weapon attacks.

Thought I would post my response here to.

It is not possible to do. However, you could make ammo that boils at blood temperature and carries a syndrome. Thus when it hits someone it expels dangerous gas. But making a weapon like an axe do it would just result in the axe vanishing after the attack.

OOOOHHHH!

In real life, 12g shotguns can be loaded with special gas grenades! I'll post this in the corrosion thread so you see it.  ;D

that is EXACTLY what i want. :D

I'm making all the final fantasy 3 NES(Not snes) magics for DF, or at least, all the ones i can.

and i've already made every single weapon from FF3 in DF.

now, i'm working on armors, and touching up the Magics a little.

Oh, and is there a way at all, to make certain Human jobs be able to equip, or at least only start with, certain weapons i specify?

like if i want to make a redmage job for the humans, they'd only start or be able to use the weapons a redmage can use?
