Harpies don't attack elf adventurers

Subject line sums it up, basically. I'm using a 33x17 world and the Mac version, if that turns out to matter.

That's because harpies are wild beasts, and elves are at peace with all of nature.  This includes big, hairy birds with breasts.

Harpies are evil though. They should disregard the "peace" of neutral creatures.

After further investigation, I have found that every creature I have run into is friendly with me. In addition to Harpies, I have been able to pass unmolested by cave swallows, naked mole dogs, antmen, troglodytes, ratmen, and cave swallow men. I am even able to chat with the *men, and managed to find an antman and a ratman that were willing to adventure with me.

(We happened upon a Dwarf Diplomat out in the wilderness; the Dwarf didn't attack me, but got in a fight with my companions.)

Only proves that dwarfs are right not to trust the treehuggers....

A Flingification is too good for them..

Elves and Harpies are really related.  Where do you think those winged elves from Forgotten Realms come from?

Whoever said Harpies were hairy?

Harpies have hair on their heads, right? That's pretty hairy for a bird, seeing as birds aren't supposed to have hair at all.
