And that's why you make a facebook account. So you can show all your personal information to the world and then not worry if they will get it from another site.

Exactly!

Wait, people actually put their personal information on facebook?

Yes, people are that stupid.

You're not using an open source project to serve 70 million customers.

*wanders over to mysql's website*

I'm callin' BS. Here's a list of the more notable MySQL customers, taken from mysql's site:
Walmart - http://www.mysql.com/customers/view/?id=1103
Symantec - http://www.mysql.com/customers/view/?id=537
Amazon - http://www.mysql.com/customers/view/?id=976

And that's ignoring the obvious part that "open source project" includes basically every Linux distro in existence, and I can guarantee the vast majority of those companies are running that stuff on a Linux server.

I want to see if Sony even talks about this during E3. It certainly would be interesting.

Not to mention Linux and other open-source stuff running on consumer products themselves. These days, you have Linux running on everything from routers to TVs.

PS Store is up and running again.

Yeah, for those of us who think that dealing with them again is actually a good idea, right?

I use prepaid debit cards for pretty much all my online spending.  It really doesn't matter if a hacker gets that info.

Yeah, I have a scanner, so I just tape my money to a piece of paper, scan it in, email or fax it, then take a webcam shot of me burning the money I sent them so they know I didn't keep the copies.

That actually sounds like a good way of using money digitally.

Hey, who can guess what LulzSec did today?
If you guessed 'hacked Sony again,' you're right!
>_>

This time they supposedly nabbed some in-dev code.

This is great. I've not seen an on going news story like this that's been so funny. Ever I think!
Anyone want to take bets on how many times Sony gets hacked before it's security is brought up to date? (Or, more likely: The hackers just get bored.)

Impossible to take bets, because nobody will ever know. The only time a company's security measures even get mentioned is when something atrocious happens, and even then, only those things directly related to it are revealed... if we're lucky. Maybe this is part of the problem.
