I've got the tar, who has the feathers?
Yeah, I thought of that too...Disney's empire is large, and there's certainly other media they could use to exploit this. But considering that they filed three applications, which
cover "entertainment and education services," "toys, games and playthings" and "clothing, footwear and headwear."
I'm not optimistic. In fact, as I look over the assets of the Disney empire, my heart sinks further and further, picturing the asstastic potential each outlet would have to milk this.
Video games. Theme park ride. ABC drama series (to compete with The Unit and similar shows). Comic book series (they own Marvel). Endless History Channel specials (they own a partial stake in the History Channel). And even....SEAL Team 6 On Ice.
And knowing Disney's marketing culture, they're liable to do ALL of the above at the same time, to try and get "synergy".
EDIT: In other Osama-related facepalm moments, former Senator and living synonym for "smegma" Rick Santorum
thinks John McCain doesn't understand 'aggressive interrogation'. The same John McCain who was a POW in North Vietnam and was tortured repeatedly. All because McCain made recent statements saying that waterboarding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and other al-Qaeda detainees was NOT what lead to us finding Osama bin Laden. I lost a lot of respect for McCain during the '08 election, but I still think he's a decent guy who knows what he's talking about in this case. Santorum, on the other hand, is a good argument for retroactive abortion.
