He didn't switch out couriers every chance he got? Jeez, maybe the fact everyone forgot about him got to his head.

Osama didn't have infinite resources.  He didn't have a huge number of couriers and safehouses to switch between.

Also I'm glad we're not emulating Achilles in our treatment of the body. I hated the old bastard as much as everyone else, but this "head on a pike" talk sickens me. Needless provocation for no real tangible result is both bad politics and bad warfighting.

Anyone else care to comment on these lines?

I agree with you with regard to not mutilating the body having been the correct way to go. However, I disagree with the specific way the body was interred. I believe that we should have taken the body to the Valley of Hinnon and cremated it there.

Deepest place on the planet. Bin Laden will be deposited there, where the intense pressure coupled with sub-zero temperatures will crush and entomb him... leaving no evidence.

...

Bin Laden was Megatron!

Eh, I suppose the Arabian Sea wasn't the best of all possibilities, but its fairly close to Mecca and the Red Sea probably doesn't have international waters in it. And its a shipping lane.

Obama certainly is enjoying the pre-campaign run up publicity.

While you and I may disagree on some things, I am not so naive as to think that Obama and his administration are milking this for all the votes they possibly can get.

Fix't? Maybe that's just the media's attempts to craft the narrative for the elections. Don't worry, as as democrat I will count the # of times he mentions catching Bin Laden during his re-election campaign, just like I counted when Bush mentioned 9/11 during his.

Obama certainly is enjoying the pre-campaign run up publicity.

I doesn't last, and I'm sure he knows it, and it's still a year and a half from the election.  Bush's 80% after 9/11 faded away well before 2003, all of these things do.  Gas prices are usually a better sign of votes are going to swing than headline events, especially this far out.

Not that it won't be milked sure, but after the entire Democratic party was painted as terrorist-coddling surrendermonkies from about 9/13/2001 on, and "soft on defense" since about 1979, you can't blame them for a little revelry.

Meanwhile, at the Halls of the Justice League...

Call of Duty on the laptops is what makes it.

On the subject of that picture, this turned up in another thread-
I suppose it's more of a "things that made you facepalm", but...oy vey.

What is it with orthodox religious practices and this insistence that the mere sight of a woman, any woman in any way, is inherently smutty and tempting?  How do these people get through the day?  Maybe it's just an Abrahamic thing, but it's certainly not limited to one of them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't look at that pose Hillary was striking without getting all hot and bothered.

I don't know.  I can't blame someone for not wanting to look at Hillary.
