The video and the gif are a fake, but a very well done one.

Yeah. I am with Blaze and freind #1 on this. To a point

I am happy he is gone. I celebrate his death.

But I morn for the world that makes someones death a good thing.

It really is a creepy concept.

To the extent that I honestly think viewing executions should be removed from capital punishment. There is just something wrong that hits me right in the soul.

I suspected it right away, and took a closer look

It's not like that's his only ability.

Americans can now sigh a relief that they put the monster they created down finally.

I find it pretty morbid how many people are getting pleasure out of death. Sure he was a bad guy, but noone should ever take pleasure in anothers death. Makes me respect Americans even less than I already do.

Oh, come on.  Making us into some sort of monolithic entity is an exercise in absurdity.

A think it's a lot more signs of relief than actual pleasure and bloodlust. We're glad we don't have to deal with this anymore, and celebrating death seems to be a secondary development. I suppose I'm just taking a lot less cynical of a view on this.

Americans are hardly unique in the regards that they rejoice in the deaths of their hated enemies.  In fact I defy you to find a single nation in history that did not have such celebrations upon the death of a similar enemy.  I dont condone this behavior but your sanctimonious nature is entirely uncalled for.

The world is a better place when some people are no longer in it. I am not celebrating his death, I am celebrating the world no longer having to suffer his continued existence.

A similar outcome would have happened if it had been a SWAT team sent in explicitly to bring him back alive. When the person you are going in to apprehend starts shooting, they get shot.

Bin Laden might be more useful to al-Qaida dead than alive. They have just acquired a martyr and that has much more symbolism than acquiring a bunch of rockets. He has been ineffective in direct control of the organisation but now they can point to him and say "this is what Osama Bin Laden wanted you to do".

Wanted to say something like this, so I took a piece where it was well said.
So, a martyr has been created. I don't see how it will help anyone.

And I might add, still no judgment. No explanation, no justification, nothing. "Justice has been done", yeah...

Hello, semantic distinction.

The food you ate today could have gone to a starving child.  So by enjoying that food you were enjoying the suffering of starving children.  Saying otherwise is a semantic distinction.
