I bet if you paid attention you could find the price/stock of something dropping (or going up) at EXACTLY the point of his reported death.

Anyhow to my knowledge Osama neither helped nor hindered silver trade.  So yeah unrelated.

Now 9/11 had an effect on trade and caused the price of gold to rise.

I don't know.  It's an odd little coincidence and is probably completely unrelated.

Edit: The price of precious metals is sometimes a proxy for political risk, so it might be an indication that things might be stabilizing a little.
