I hate to say this, but I'm kind of happy.  Not as in I really understand what's up with the entire situation, but maybe that will help things cool down a little on the foreign affairs front.

Why? Terrorism will go on. Maybe moreso, as people have been driven to extremism after having their home countries bombed by US forces. Functionally Bin Laden is just a figurehead and these guerilla groups do not tend to put much stake in power structures.

Multiple sources confirming it. People saying a "new era" might be beginning. While I might not go that far, I can say that this truly makes me feel happy. This has followed me across 11 countries, and FINALLY he has died.

EDIT: My friend's rather good status: osama: hide and seek champion 2001-2011.
