-Minor Mechanic change to make players' lives easier-

For next turn onwards, I'll provide you with:

Your production;
Your population growth;
Your upkeep.

That means we will arrive at a turn structure very similar to FaW/PaW.
However, combat still takes place on the next turn (after they've met).

And this is why I need to double-check my turn before I submit it, I didn't even plan to send the troops this turn because I didn't have enough of them.  Oh well.

At any rate. I am against changing how pop and production work. Since there is a upper limit on both, the compounding only saves like three turns (IE: About 1/5) before you hit the max anyway. After a planet is maxed, the only thing that helps is production, which sure, +20% is nice, but, when your ships are being crushed and your need that much higher land forces to repel attacks, it is not going to matter.

Its only the first turn. Since the map is so varied in its planets, I would say the map is unbalanced.


In the end, research seems to boost a lot, so a few techs and my industrial advantage is useless. Their own advantages allowed them to outpace my research.

I would change my benefits if I only got a +5% per "point".

Also, would you mind explaining how research works? How can it spill over, if its a "%" chance of success?

I interpret this meaning "Production points invested" Divided by "Final difficulty" = Percent. Then you roll a die or something.

I also seem to be missing about a half dozen manufactories on my main world. Is this to suggest that manufactories must be rebuilt?

Maybe anything that makes it over 100% likely goes towards the next increase.

Edit: And yeah. Tech does quite frankly seem over powered.

Exactly. You'll never know the internal numbers though.
