I have a really cool seed, but i wanna show people the picture of the starting location, how do i take a screen shot?

Not because of the memory requirements, though they would be huge, but because technology wouldn't advance.

If it's an actual area, and not a picture of the world map, I'm pretty sure you have to hit the <print> and paste the image into something like MSPaint.  I don't think there's any sort of in-game screen shot utility, out side of full maps.

Another possibility is alt + Print screen, that copies just the active window.
