Spoiler: Important Note (click to show/hide)

As you watch from your cover, you see a legion of Riflemen carring your flag moving by the cover. They wear Dark Green trousers and Brown jackets, all worn in various manners, some similar to your own. You watch as a man that seems to have similar dressing to you walks forward, a Sword raised in his hand. He persume this is the Legions captain.

He stops the legion, and walks am bit more forward.
"Kneel!"
The front row of Riflemen duck down a bit on one knee, allowing the second row to aim as well.
"Aim!"
The Riflemen point our their guns in a direction you cannot see.
"FI-"
The Captains head suddenly explodes in a gush of blood. The two front rows of the Legion are torn apart by a bullent hail. However, many manage to fire their gun off before the start routing in every direction except that of the enemy.

You crawl over a bit to see what is behind the rock. You see a Legion of purely humans (Temptessian Humans, to be exact.) loading their guns. They seem to have Bright Red jackets and Dark Red Trousers. They carry the flag of the Temptessian Empire.

The Dogman carring a gun suddenly comes straight out of cover, yells "Temptessian Bastards!" and fires a quite excelent shot at the banner carrier. As he falls, the Captain yells something in an known language to some of the soldiers. One man puts away his gun to pick up the flag, and another four come out of the line to go to your rock.

What do you do?

>Check enemy regiment markings. If elite, send a runner to tell the unit to run. Buggers have breech-loading rifles.

Do any of our guys have rifles? We should be able to snipe them from here, if the rifle isn't smooth bore. If it is, try it anyways.

It's rifled, though it's a muzzle-loaded rifle so don't count on it being effective.

On the contrary, the Springfield Model 1861 was effective up to 300 yards by using a Minié ball. That should be more than enough range to pick off a couple of soldiers before they get here (Assuming our guys can use it properly).

Yes, but we're behind cover, and not in the open.

Question: Do we have a pistol?

Still too long to reload and we don't know if there are any skirmishers around.

And realistically, we might want to get the heck out of here before demonic super solders appear.

Surrender to Gurren Langann, it's not like they know who the hell you you are
Oh wait, different beastmen. Don't be a hero. If you see them readying to fire, duck a good thirty seconds before hand.

Realism went out the window when the Tempestians are using similar tactic to the Ariani, rather than using Bolt-actions and staying mobile.

Spoiler: More Notes: (click to show/hide)

You reach into your holster to pull out your Dragoon Revolver (RL Comparison: ...Colt Dragoon Revolver :'( ) and looked out again. The Temptessian Platoon seemed to be a normal one, consisting of around 300 men. You duck back as a stray shot almost hits you.

You wait behind the rock for the soldiers to come at you, the Dogman waiting like you with his Rifle's bayonett. The Rabbitman also takes out a sword.

You fire as soon as you see the Bright Red uniform coming out from beside the rock. One man falls, and you manage to knock another shot off on the next. However, the third manages to get a shot off before he was stabbed by the Dogman. It catches the man in the side of the chest as the bayonett sinks in. While blood splatters everywhere, he screams in angoy, and the four attemps to aim. You however manage to shoot him before he pulls the tigger. The Rabbit man quickly runs to his fallen friend to pull him back behind the rock before he gets shot. Upon noticing the wound, he says,
"Your going to be alright! Ok! Were going to get out of this!"
The Dogman mutters in reply,
"I don't think y luck will last this long..."
"No! Your not going to die on me now! After all we went though!"

You suddenly notice a loud yell, and look back out from the rock to notice that the Temptessian legion was under fire from a source unknown to you. You then hear the distance cry of,
"Dargoon Regiment! Charge!"
You then see a large amount of horse riders belonging to your own charge out from another direction also invisible to you. They charge straight into the enemy Platoon, causing them to turn tail and run.

Suddenly, you feel much more light-headed. As everything starts to blur, you think...

Blackness.

* * *

You wake up in some kind of tent. Most of your clothing (Excluding your Trousers) has been removed, and you have a large bandage across your chest where the bullet wound was. You hear some cries of agony inside the tent, although the gunshots and explostions are long gone.

What do you do?

>Look for a Medic

((Meanwhile, Cadre infantry usually use the Predatel'-Nadezdy Rifle, similar to the Mosin-Nagant. However, it is limited to three shots per stripper clip.))
