So, just to add my tuppence to the community.
I imagine that when I die, just opening my eyes in a hellish place.

ie. opening my eyes to see a bearded man shouting at me, in a large chain of people, "C'mon Urist! The people here will LOVE the masterwork cheeses you make!"

Anyone else think something like that?

You mean like a dream where I'm a dwarf, and my clothes are rotting off.  In fact, I'm clothed more by vomit and blood than any kind of fabric.  And somehow, some way... I know that one of the soldiers fighting the goblin hordes above just lost his foot and gave unto me, yes me, the greatest of treasures, the holy Sock?  So I must go grab it, nay, SNATCH it, before my bearded bretheren can get there?

Hell is being reincarnated as a goblin, about to march off to war. Because you never see those traps coming.
