F16: Multirole Fighter, and old, old flight sim. My flightstick/throttle arrived yesterday. My biggest gripe with it is that the flightstick can twist, giving it a z-axis, but several games so far confuse this with the rudder on the throttle. So, to yaw, I have to twist the flightstick rather than the rudder. So far, only B17: The Mighty 8th doesn't do this, because you can manually set what axis does what - when first booted it up, the rudders handled both yaw and throttle for some reason.

Fallout: New Vegas
Since I was unable to play my previous 24 lvl male Courier (Windows got destroyed), I've decided to go with a new female Courier, just so I can have a sexy time with Benny. I regret nothing.

Also, can someone give me better sex-related puns? I'm not strong in sex-related puns...

Had a very nearly perfect run in Dead Cells. Pure strength build on upgrades, two fire grenades, an unimportant secondary, and a rapier that had  +20% damage on crits and +175% damage on burning targets.

I had that game at one point but my pc at the time could not run it.  Instead I was always just entranced in the detail just from reading the manual and by the time I got a decent computer I had lost the discs.  I oughta see if I can find it on GoG or something.

My own own wasn't so much of an own as one of those heroic moments everyone dreams about having in an mmo.  FF14 I'm casually fishing in coerthas central.  Helping a buddy level his fishing by using my 'provider of the realm' to capture all the fish he needs easier than he could so he could turn them in for repeatable quests so he'd level faster.

Another player I don't know comes close to my fishing hole and examines something on the ground before being attacked by a monster.  Clearly part of some low level quest I don't remember.  I continue fishing, even as a non combat class, just by virtue of levels the monster is no threat to me.  Then I notice the player is starting to lose the fight.  So I calmly catch the fish I had on my hook, switched class to Dragoon, and absolutely destroyed the monster in a few jumps.  The player was very grateful and thanked me profusely while I went back to my fishing.

It feels good to have the opportunity to be a hero.

I picked it up in a very cheap bundle of old Novalogic games on Steam. Many of which I played but lost the discs to, too.

Pokemon White

Caught a Sawk. The face reminded me of a muppet. It proved itself to be really good at Lenora's gym.

Sawk is a fantastic pokemon right up until the end game. Not so hot competitively, but Sturdy is always good, and it has a decent moveset with usable attack, and way, way too many major characters have weaknesses to Fighting.

Throh is Sawk but without any stats but HP and defense. Only thing he's good for is that wacky Storm Throw shit.

Decided to check out "New Vegas Bounties" mod. The first target was Tom Quigly, rumored to be "the best marksman in the Wasteland". I saw him dicking around his camp on the hill, so I took my Ratslayer out and sniped him. I love using Ratslayer, the rifle is so good.

Fallout: New Vegas

Defeated Nuibaba. My strategy was as such:

- I got everybody I could, within reason, promoted. The important thing here is maximizing your healer and magic user count; Kliff, Silque, and Luthier all healing up the frontliners helped immensely. Gray becoming a Dread Fighter was also a huge help.
- I gave Python a silver bow. This was necessary because of its crucial art, which seals magic on the opponent for a turn if it hits.
- Next up, I picked off as many of Nuibaba's cronies as possible. The most important one was the archer, because his insane coverage means you'll get murdered if you try to go around to the door; I defeated him by having Tobin and Python team up on him. I offed two of the Dread Fighters by using Gray, taking advantage of the mountainside's avoid bonus, and giving him considerable ranged support. In the process, the arcanists came down and were slain as well.
- This whole time, I've had a front set up to take care of the gargoyles summoned by that damn cantor. The cavalry, knights, Alm, and as many magicians I could spare stood just outside of Nuibaba's range and did whatever they could to off as many gargoyles per turn as possible.
- Eventually, all Nuibaba had left were herself, the cantor, and a single Dread Fighter. I began my assault by setting Python to seal the cantor's magic; although this put him in range of Nuibaba, it's fine because anybody can take a single hit from her as long as nobody else hits them afterward. I got as many of my units as close as possible. The following turn, I healed the person hit by Nuibaba and set Grey to deal with the Dread Fighter. Grey went after Nuibaba next, keeping her out of the way. The cantor summoned a small army of gargoyles, but Delthea was close enough to Seraphim him and end that entire ordeal. With a bit of ranged support and help from Alm, Gray defeated the Dread Fighter, and in a moment of extreme satisfaction, I destroyed Nuibaba once and for all.

I'm conflicted on this map. On one hand, I hate it because it's very frustrating to play through. On the other hand, it's very clever in several ways. The removal of Silque's original super-OP warp capabilities, among other small changes to the working of the game, mean that you can't just send in a superunit or two to destroy everyone. Instead, you have to take a much more siege-oriented approach, slowly sapping their strength before making a final push. It's an excellent change of pace from the other games' castle assaults that are more games of "who can hold the choke point the longest?"

Additionally, this map continues a trend I've seen a lot of in Gaiden that a lot of other Fire Emblem games are lacking in--the enemy actually has very good fortifications that legitimately hinder you to a considerable degree, rather than the enemy "castle" having great big entry doorways you could drive a tank through and conveniently placed architecture that provides cover for attackers and leaves the defenders wide open. It also has a mix of defending units that lets the defenders keep the attackers at bay by choosing the best counter to the attacker at hand rather than an army of knights and archers that's easily defeated with a single hammer or wizard. It's a much more realistic map (as far as Fire Emblem goes, anyway) than the regular ones.

Elizabeth the 13th had just started out in the shelter, having a nail board and an emergency jacket to her name. Within minutes of trotting towards town, she spotted him: A shocker brute standing next to a window, alone. She jogged out, shouted, and when she had confirmed that the brute was approaching she ducked back into the shelter and waited. As soon as he entered the window, she donked it on the head with her nail board, striking it down instantly. Reveling in her victory, she put her emergency blanket back on and headed towards town.
(it would probably ruin the moment if I told you that she promptly trotted over to Elizabeth the Eleventh's corpse which was next to the window where the brute originally as and picked up her knife spear, already well coated in crackling electric blood from fighting it beforehand. Still, offing it first blow was nice, I couldn't have beat it if it had any more health)
