First up, my mooks.
Most of her kills were before my guys became accurate with tasers, and before stun rods (preferred weapon of choice, due to accuracy, and the challenge of a melee-KO) could be manufactured to complete it. And of course, landed battleship (Because I didn't feel like losing any ships, plus, this is far more profitable anyway) raid missions and terror missions where killing was the better option. This is probably the least blood shed in this game I've played, on either side, ever, and it's because their non-lethal tactics rock (and also Final Mod makes it more worth it, with the right options). The
Iron-Maiden setting you see, ought to keep them terrifying; and I intend on making this standard (at least for the elite veterans that earned this honor) gear, plus flight soon (give me about a week or half that).
Oh, and why do I keep the alien laser rifle? Because my prey replenishes their ammo regularly enough, a cheaper alternative.
Next, radar coverage, and purpose:
I figure I might as well max-out the efficiency of coverage, and if I need to relocate any ships, island-hopping is a viable tactic of shipment of new ships; AWACS coverage was also considered.
N.Pole- Santa's Workshop/AWACS Base (AUX Manufacturing/Money-printer/Toy storage (Backup supply (Elerium/Alloys)))
Atlantic HQ- Home Base and Psi-Training (A week until/before Hyper-wave decoder is installed)
S.America- Blind Spot Coverage and Excess Storage (Money-printer/backup supply (weapon/ammo cache)
Sahara- Primary Manufacturing Plant (Megaproject stuff) (JUST got an Ironfist to replace my Skymarshall, 3 workshops (fully-staffed), and still took a week to build. 4th one still has a week and a half until ready and staffed.)
Pacific- Research (1 of anything not researched yet (mainly artifacts), including leaders/commanders and corpses), Extra storage
Hawaii- Vacation Spot, Backup Troops, Air Force Unit (6-ship reinforcement storage (1 dropship with rookie squad, and the remaining are excess fighters, then Firestorms or better (for overkill: all Avengers, all bases)); TFTD will be re-purposed as Sub-Force Unit). At present, it's not currently stocked with anything useful, besides a pending Skymarshall, except after the mission is done.
Australia- Blind Spot Coverage, and Backup HQ
S.Pole- Antarctic Storage and Excess Alien Containment/AUX Research (excess crap-research)/AWACS Base (When both Atlantic and Pacific are overstocked with live dudes (20 at HQ, and 10 at Pacific; 10 here, for now), and we keep research churning (mostly fluff from Medics/Navis/Engies))
Standard for all bases, except HQ: 2 troops (lowest-grade armor available, then Personal Armor or better when stocks look up), 2-4 dogs (depending on vulnerability to attack, and coverage required), 1 tank (and/or Veterans from past missions)
Making a pair of Thunderstorms right now for the Polar bases as my strike unit. I'll have Firestorms eventually; but this will do for quick-response, or fast targets. For now, it's just 3 Ravens (to cut costs from the Interceptors' rent), and 2 polar AWACS before the Hawkeye upgrade (cheapen monthly costs as well. and maybe better coverage, might have 1 North and 2 South for at least radar 99% coverage (HWDs are good, but for getting the initial signal; this assures they never leave my sight, nor the coordinated strike forces'.), if good enough).
Already have Endgame researched, just catching up, and might revisit later for an Overkill Run (Nothing like nuking a site with multi-launcher blaster bombs). Just to seal the deal, why not Psi-gather the Cydonia staff next to the target, and fire a round?
This is a pretty cool mod.
EDIT:
I can't wait until I unlock Psi-Amps. It would ramp up efficiency. But at least having everyone equipped with motion detectors work well enough for planning a raid. And with flying suits now, only the strongest minds are equipped (damn Ethereals). Oh yeah, and my standard protocol for other bases came handy. Just got hit by a retaliation on one of my less-prepared bases. Guards! Time to let go of the rookie title (and your guard days will have some excitement too).
EDIT EDIT:
3 Hawkeyes give me pretty much 99% coverage of the globe now radar-wise, and the other bases are getting Hyper-Wave Decoders as well, so seldom would I not know what my enemy is up to now. Almost got my Psi-Amps now too. The Thunderstorms also rock at keeping infiltrators in line, despite only 1 weapon slot each ship; they're doing their role perfectly.
EDIT EDIT EDIT:
And now that I have Psi-Amps, Aliens are now lemmings headed, unarmed, to my dropship. Just recently vacated a shot down battleship (with Avalanche missiles, and about 4 fighters) that way. Only casualties were those in the initial crash.
