Role PMs
--------------
Doppelgangers
You awaken to a deep cold. It surrounds you. The smell of snow and ice permeates the air.
But another scent drifts in on the wind.
The smell of Prey.
Silently, you creep out of the glacial chasm and seek out your prey. Three humans, performing some sort of scientific task in snows. Surprised and unarmed, they barely put up a fight at all.
Pandarsenic
You are an
Advanced Doppelganger, able to shift forms far more rapidly than your kin. While they must wait months to shift, you should be able to change again quite soon. Once per game, if you perform the doppelganger kill, you can turn yourself into the player that you kill. Pandarsenic will cease to exist, your old form seeming to have been killed, and the other player will become a doppelganger. The transformation is not perfect, however, and any skills they had before the transformation will be lost.
Think0028
You took over the identity and memories of an
Intelligence Scientist working on tracking ice flow movements. But it seems he had another project in the works as well.
Choose one of the Intelligence Scientist techs from the list and PM me with your decision. Feel free to discuss it with the other doppelgnagers first, but keep in mind that you will not be able to use your tech until you send it it.
In addition, you have a natural
Mind Shield that will protect you from any psychic abilities that are used on you.
ToonyMan
You are the Doppelganger
Leader. Your ability to mimic human behaviours is superior to your kin, and you will appear as human even under careful scrutiny.
In addition, you have a natural
Anti-Tech Field that will help protect you from any technological gadgets that may be used against you.
The three of you also share a secret
connection that lets you speak with one another telepathically.
Hive Mind
Dariush (Alien)
You are the
Hivemind Master. You escaped to this planet for crimes on your homeworld. Here you plan to make use of the weak-willed humans. What you will do with them? Well...that remains to be seen. First you need to establish a strong base here. And to do that you’ll need to deal with the Doppelganger infestation and any other threats to you or your plans.
Each night you may choose to
Convert another player to your cause. You may choose to be either a Psychic Hivemind or a Technological Hivemind, which determines which defenses will work against you. You must make this choice during Day 1. Note that only humans can be converted, and any attempt to convert a doppelganger or another alien will fail as if the target had a mind shield or anti-tech field.
You and your converts may
communicate in secret In addition to your Hivemind ability, you also begin with a medium or small tech item. Choose one from the list of tech before the end of day 1.

You served in the army to pay for college. You figured that after you go out of Iraq you wouldn’t have to worry about stuff like this. Maybe a stray polar bear but...science is supposed to be safer! In any case, you’ve decided that you’ll act as a
Guardian for the installation. Each night you can
Protect another player and prevent them from dying should they be attacked.

Darvi (Human)
Damn alien bastards! Bad enough you served in some nasty business in Baghdad, now you gotta deal with doppelgangers out in this frozen wasteland?? Well, this is one
War Vet who isn’t going to just lay down and die! You’ve got a nice rifle you keep handy to keep bears away. You figure it’ll work on aliens just as well. Anyone comes near you at night and they’re going to find themselves short a face!

As a budding
Cutting Edge Scientist you figured this was an ideal place to get some good science done. Lots of time to work on personal projects, too. And now it seems that you’ll need to get one of those projects up and running in a hurry! Select one tech from the Cutting Edge tech list.

As a
Military Scientist this wasn’t exactly an ideal assignment. But you needed work and you haven’t proved yourself to any of the companies that you’d rather work for. But at least this place gives you lots of time to work on personal projects. And now it seems that you’ll need to get one of those projects up and running in a hurry! Select one tech from the Military tech list.

Toaster (Human)
You’ve always prided yourself on being an
Observant Guard. Not that a facility like this needs much security, but you never know when keeping a keen eye out will solve a problem. And right now lots of problems need solving! Each night you can
Protect another player. If they are attacked, you’ll die in their place. But not before getting a look at the attacker and passing it on to the person you’re protecting.
Sadly, you’re known for being a bit of a
Kook. You can only hope that no one mistakes you for one of those monsters...

You thought this was a strange assignment for an
Agent. But, as usual, central command was right. And now you need to use all of your skills and training to stop these monsters. Each night you can
Inspect another player to determine what
Race they are. You’ll just have to figure out who to make sure the right people get lynched without tipping the monsters off about who you are.
