You climb to the top of the tank, intending the drive it to a Renaissance fair. Dropping inside, you realize that you have no idea how to operate a main battle tank. There are lots of sights and screens that you don't understand inside. There are several areas you could look at, a small chair down in the front of the turret, a slightly larger stool that you landed on when you climbed in, a very small stool to your left, and what appears to be a reclining type chair that is accessible through a small grate near your left foot.

Go to the reclining chair and sit in it.

With a bit of trouble you manage to pull the grate open and smoothly slide, feet first, into the lower seat. There are all sorts of knobs underneath you, a computer screen to the side, and some sort of joystick. You figure out which knobs control the seat, and adjust it to your body. A headrest pops out from the ceiling. It's very comfortable, and you feel pretty safe, apart from the world by heavy armor. There's just the vibration and the whiring of the engine audible.

"Having faith" that the bridge will not fall, implies that the bridge itself isn't that trustworthy. It's not that different from "I pray that the bridge will hold my weight."

You decide to recline the seat back as far as it can go. It's slightly under horizontal now, which is kinda uncomfortable, so you move it up a bit. With the seat leaning back as it is, it's tough to reach the joysticks, but you do. You give it a little wiggle, but it doesn't move more than an eight of an inch. The note of the engine changes, seemingly becoming disapproving. You decide not to lick any buttons, thankfully.

After the rush of movement while the tank turned and accelerated, you found several periscopes around your seat to see out of the tank with. Your backstabbing friends' car (or one that looked the same, you never actually saw the license plate) was easily crushed with avatar-worthy crushitude.

The tank comes to a rest on top of the wreckage, and you try to will it (having giving up on the controls) to run amok at a Renaissance Faire. However, you're not sure if the tank got the idea. The engine's idling takes on an inquisitive note.
