Here we go!
With the begin of my reign, I started by taking a short look around at what had been done. I also noticed my fancy title and laughed, then had a closer look.
...What?
Well, I'm sure it's nothing. I'll just get started and...
Balls, it's the thirds of Granite and ALREADY I have a fey mood? He grabbed the magma forge and got to work. Eventually we got a lead trumpet and, well, thats it. It some some stone on it and that was it. Aparantly it was an artifact. Yeah right!
Well, I started working on mining out hematite, since we needed some armour, I took most people off of mining since what we needed was efficiency and not speed! With so many dabbling miners we got no ore at all!
I also set up a jewellers and a farmers work shop, to start cutting the jems and to shear/milk animals. we have them, might as well make the most of them!
Around the 10th of slate, We got some lion cubs, interestingly enough this happened RIGHT after the mother was turned into a war lion... it creeps me out to think I witnessed that. The bears are next!
14th, and a mother load of migrants arive, 22 in all with plenty of animasl. I mixture of poults, chicks, calves and the likes. With a llama thrown in too!
This is just a few of them, the ones worth mentioning... which isn't exactly true, most are useless!
Peasant – NO skills at all, put on masonry and stone detailing
Master presser, same fate.
Low level metal working, our new smith, taken off EVERYTHING else.
Another peasant, same fate but also in military.
Miller, put into military as has hammer skill
Brewer, taken off in fear of Shade gutting him.
A hunter with more skill in sword, military.
High master carpenter, high quality beds!
Low level is all three wood skills, masonry again.
Another almost peasant, masonry.
An actual mason... masonry.
Peasant, put in military.
A talented dyer, with some skill in hunting, weaponsmithing and leatherworking... what did he do in his past life?
High master Small Animal Dissector... but also a good furnace operator! Hurrah!
A skilled miner, good, we need more good miners.
A new gem worker. Better too!
Cheese maker... mason.
With this brand new horde, the wall is well underway and giving us some good protection now. No more scary goats for us!
5th of Felsite, and a "pleasant" surprise is in store...
No shit, three of them. I sent the male away to be butchered since we don't really need him, but the two girls are staying in the pen, I will see if there is enough for them to eat...
The elves arived and we rebuilt the ramp to let them in, we then comenced trading and I bought all of their logs, and their booze, cages, and best of all... a hippo! Not sure if THEY can feed themselves either but we will find out!
To top it all off, my hunter who I forgot to tell to stop hunting decided to wander off, he took down a goat and just as he was about to get inside he was interupted by.. three rhinos. I facepalmed then checked his quiver... 21 steel bolts. Ohhh, this should be interesting. The first rhino charged and was promptly shot in the gut. All three ran away, one into the cage traps, and the other two into the moat... once my dwarf was safe inside they then decided to climb out of the moat... into the other cage traps. Rhino steak anyone?
This, is the wall, pretty much finished on the most important side, mass labour rocks!
So all in all, a nice spring time, with trade, migrants, and food! And lots of babies too!
