Dawnboat - The Hope of Humanity (Corrosion Mod Succession)
« on: April 26, 2011, 11:30:39 am »

This is a succession fortress using IT 000's Corrosion Mod.

Over one hundred years ago, the Infecteds became the dominant life-form on the planet. During that time, the light of humanity has been slowly smothered, and continues to be so. However, one loose confederation of fortified villages has somehow thrived, and recently, scouts returned, telling of a pristine island in the ocean that is isolated and Infected-free. Heartened by the news and hoping for a life free of the constant danger which every human faces on a day-to-day basis, a council of the confederation is convened, and it is voted unanimously that the humans should move there as soon as possible.  As such, each village contributes manpower and resources to build a ship-- an ark, if you will-- on the shores of the vast ocean.  This ship, and the village around it, are the best hope of humanity...

Notes:
•   This is a work in progress, as I haven't even genned the world yet, pending the (hopefully) upcoming release of 1.0.7
We will indeed wait for the release of 1.0.7.  Or maybe until curses in .26.  Anyways, it's gonna be a wait.
•   This is also my first succession fortress, whether played or organised, heh, so be patient.
•   Yes, we have the same kinda story as with Deep Blue Escape, and will keep the same human names, for convenience. New people to be humed are also much appreciated!

Rules:
•   1 year for each player
•   PM me if you’re ready when your turn is next
•   5 days to complete your turn
•   If you're not ready or no response is received you will be skipped and we'll give you your turn at the next opportunity.
•   If anything reaaaally bad happens, we will decide to either reclaim or continue if possible.
•   Preferred experience with the Corrosion Mod (see link above). You can reserve your spot and then play a couple of games to get experience with the zombies.

Humify me:
Spish, Miner-Cook extraordinaire (novice mining, proficient cook), perhaps with a wee bit of fish cleaning and butchering experience if needed. Male preferred.

As much as I'd like to play, I have no experience with Corrosion as of yet.

I might be able to take the fifth year if you want. I don't have any experience with corrosion but by then I think we'll be fine in a sense so that I won't have to learn the entire mod.

Sure thing, though I DO recommend that you play a fort or two on your own, so you get a feel for it, because there're some curveballs to be had in it...

I would like to be humed. Male, Wood Burner / Furnace Operator. A fan of rifles too and fully willing to shoot at some zeds. Although I'm pretty sure that everyone will have to shoot zombies. You can't beat the horde! I have no real "caste" preference by the way.

I'm not gonna sign up for a round of actually playing though. Just wanna see how long my virtual persona would last in a "zombie" apocalypse.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.
