I just wish an actual game-mechanics-introducing update comes soon. I'm not buying it until I see actual game mechanics introduced, no matter how awesome the concept itself is.

The unlimited building grid is actually quite a big step forward, so its getting close now, Poltifar.  In fact, I believe the devs for Blockade Runner are wishing to create a new trailer or something featuring our personally designed ships in that free environment.  So perhaps that'll keep your interest.  ;D

I definitely wont lost interest in the development of the game. I'm just saying I'm waiting until they add features that make it a game and not a 3D-lego-program-in-space for me to buy it. I did the same thing with minecraft, didnt buy it before Alpha.

That game appears better looking and more stable than Shores of Hazeron, which has been in development for decades now.

They should, Roboboy.  The ship builder, realistic movements and 'living ship' environments are all part of the Release 1 plan.  If nothing else, that is a core part of the entire gaming premise, so I'm eagerly looking forward to it.  8)

This looks to be rapidly turning into what I always wanted the SS13 engineer game to be. I eagerly await the B12 planet-cracking megaliths yet to be built.

That is probably quite likely for a multiplayer adventure, Beta.  Getting enough power to destroy a whole planet from orbit in a single ship... no matter a massive one, may be a bit much for the current system.  But that's life.  Now, bombarding an enemy planet from orbit and watching craters forming on sensors would be awesome.

I feel like I'm taking the wrong route with this.
I bought R1 early just to get the free upgrade to R2.

I can't even play it without getting motion sick in its current state.  Goddamn 6DOF camera.
Ah, well, I'll drop in now and then to see how progress is going.
I'm sure by the time R1 or R2 are finished, it'll have changed enough that it won't cause that anymore, much as Infiniminer => Minecraft.  I really had trouble playing Infiniminer, but Minecraft is no problem at all.

Humanoid movement is one of the big items on the developers list at the moment, Jay.  With it, the six motions of freedom but no more crazy camera rotating and stuff, and when the 'Gravity Plating' is set in, then you'll be properly pulled downard and able to walk around like normal.

Fuck, seems like this game is becoming more and more awesome. If it really goes on with a steady pace it would be something I always wanted. I am so buying this tomorrow.

The simple fact that you talk about this in terms of sensors instead of something goofy like looking out a window has enormously increased my respect for this project. More power to you.

I really cannot promise anything, HLBeta; but eventaully the ships will have to be contained in order to hold in their atmosphere of oxygen and whatnot to keep the people inside alive, so its the logical thing to expect to have external sensor feeds that are then relayed into the bridge and other areas of the ship.  8)

Another thing we hope to teach the youngin's- windows in space = fail.

Best only for null-powered stealth or emergency situations.  Or pimpin' your ride.

In time.  :)
