Stupid fortress names

sorry if I'm doubling a thread already existing, I had to share.

What's the biggest facepalm you've had when you found out what your little enterprising settlers named their new home?

my current winner: Lovesacks.

love sacks! bayyyybe love sacks!

It was founded in the cone of the Useless Volcano, because I just felt so bad for the poor volcano. All the other volcanoes making fun of it ....

Yeah, this is why I always set the name myself. Then this problem goes away.

The worst names are the ones that are boringly random, like Circledclasps or Butterdyes or Claspedrings or Claspedclasps.

My current, and most awesome fortress to date is named Bodicespots. :(

My worst fortress but most awesomely named one was called Crazedmetals.


I only use the RNG, I don't custom name anything.

Generally I use the RNG but randomize until I get something I like. I got 'Murdereddeath' as a terrifying-biome fortress at one point, although I embarked on top of zombie elk and died almost immediately.
