Hmmm AutoHotKey might be nice to give DaggerFall controls a more 'modern' feel

Daggerfall is awesome.
Its scary, fun, grindy(if you hate that then you can COMPLETELY skip grindy), immersive(even more so than oblivion)

Turn on WinAMP, play the same songs I have heard a thousand times over, and stare idly at the screen until about 4 o'clock, restating the process a few times within that timeframe.

Instead of suggesting a game, I'd suggest you get Spotify (or some similar program) and explore! Find some album you haven't heard before, and start from the beginning. Eventually you'll find more music you'll love. If you like hard rock, try listening to some reggae. If you like rap, try some 20's-30's jazz. There's a whole world of music to be found, if you have an open mind to new stuff :)

Oh whoops.  :-[ (Well playlists actually CAN work offline, but that would eliminate the point of my earlier post.)

I agree with you on your point, though. last.fm is fairly nice if I want new normal music, though I've not really been listening to that lately.

Is there any way to :

- Switch Daggerfall turning around and looking up-down to mouse movement?
- Have the attack not require mouse movement?

So far my research has answered "NO" on both, but i still have hope!  :o

Yes on the first one, no on the second to my knowledge. Hit escape, go to controls..then click mouse, and then click view.

Ahh yeah I did try and tell you guys about that earlier, was starting to doubt my own memory.

The good controls and not the default controls.

Aye, I do like daggerfall, but I have yet to even escape the starting cave. Damn thieves deal 4/5 of my hp per hit, and rats are annoying to. What is frustrating me is swinging my weapon at them a dozen times and perhaps hitting twice. Gah. That, and I cant change the resolution. Which is fine, really, because its in a window, but when I want to be a little more immersed, I like a full screen.

Also, the secondary control mode is easily the best, without a doubt. However, you lose your mouse pointer... which means you cant use any of the quick buttons of the bottom of the screen. That's going to be annoying until I memorize all the hotkeys.

The graphics aren't actually half as bad as I was prepared for.

And there are nipples.

Press Alt+Enter.  Universal full screen command.

Nope. You have a button "Activate Cursor", when you press it, cursor is BACK!  :D
