Evil Glacial Sucession Fort- Wardshield
« on: April 24, 2011, 02:14:49 pm »

I've found a spot that I think would be perfect for a very interesting game- evil (full range of savagery) glacier, with trade access. So, anyone who'd like to join, please post. Turns will be one in game year each. you have three days to complete a turn. If something happens and you can't meet your turn, just post, and the next person will go ahead. If someone loses, their turn is over and the next person can try to reclaim the fort. And please: don't intentionally kill the fort.

         So without further ado:

"The king thought he could dispose of us by sending us here. That we, and the secrets we held, would be gone, all under the pretense of a failed expedition. But he was wrong. We have endured, we have made it to the icy reaches of the southern pole. And here we shall stay. The twisted spirits of the glacier will try to kill us, the mountainhome's intrigue will reach its tendrils even to here, but we shall endure it all. " -Morul Urolled, founder of wardshield.

12th of granite- One of those demonic yetis came close to finding the entrance today. it destroyed the wagon, though I expect the cold will keep the supplies safe until we can go haul them in. Work on excavating a central hall is going well, but the undead will find us sooner or later...

19th of granite- The yeti left today. I had everyone go outside and haul in the food. we'll bring in the rest of the supplies once we have space. I don't trust those fancy "quantum stockpiles". Better to do it the old fashioned way.

21st of slate- We hit a massive, flooded tunnel network today. I've drawn up plans for a farm, irrigated by controlled flooding.

8th of hematite- disaster. the farm flooded while trying to dig a well. we're going to find another site, but this is a major setback. We were forced to slaughter a horse for food.

27th of hematite- A skeletal yeti found us. Thankfully, it couldn't get past the masterful dwarven door defense system I had installed last month.

28th of hematite- We killed it. We actually killed the yeti. Double drink rations tonight!

I would like to join in on this. If possible I would like to do this on a weekend. That way I can concentrate on it and (hopefully) not screw it up. So, please sign me Maxrmk up for the second year.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.
