Actually, it requires just as much downloads, namely .NET 4 Framework and XNA Runtime 4. And thats about it.

So will I need to get these to play?

It's probably best to wait for simplicity's sake.

Also, difficulty isn't really something to worry about. I mean, dying sucks, but it's not like you can run out of lives and get a game over or something. Dying is more like.. an inconvenience.

Besides, to limit yourself based on past experiences is silly. If something is challenging, keep doing it until it's not!

Oh ok. I saw the hearts and thought then when you died it was game over. I don't want to get a game that I can't play. I would much rather step into these things and start with something similar but easy otherwise the game just gets annoying and i don't play.

The released version will probably come with them, but the framework might still need to be installed separately. I'd get the framework either way; there's an unending wave of programs that need it.

Eh, my version wanted me to install the entire XNA studio, so I had to download Visual C# Express as well.

No it didn't. It's just that Leak 2 comes with XNA GS for some reason. You actually don't need it, just the runtime.

Which 5 pages?  This is a 100+ page thread, and chances are she wouldn't have understood our chatter anyway without asking questions given her reaction to the video.

Edit:  Normally I'd agree, but this just isn't such a case.
