Its not like floating eye monsters are an original concept anyway.

There's also the whole constantly-spawning-little-eyes part.

Also, y'know, Beholders.

Haha yeah. Actually one of the LPs (the Yogscast one I think) mentioned something about "somewhere there's a beholder missing a bunch of eyes" when the demon eyes started attacking them.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

They didn't seem to grasp the fact their hole was being fed by an underground river that possibly went all the way to the surface. Makes it mighty hard to drain it when that happens.

River, or really big underground pool? 'Cuz rivers sound flipping sweet.

Unknown, all we ever see is a fully submerged cave traveling left and up.  I don't think we even see where the water stops, they drown before it gets explored.  Could be an underground pool that just happened to have a cave branching off of it under water level, could be a fully intended cave river.

Oooor... They could just drop sand in to make a barrier and go on digging.
Now now, can't expect them to know everything.  ...and that's pretty much the jist of all the comments I saw.

They need some engineers to play this game. Some dwarven engineers! People who have had experience weaponising everything at their disposal, and raping the land for wealth.

Giant statue of a dwarf that spews magma from it's mouth, surrounded by corruption? I think so!

Make sure the demolition dwarf lives in the head and the dryad's house is perpetually flooded with magma and I think you have a modest quality home.

Corrupted underground? Fortress in the underworld? Entire world mined out and replaced tile for tile with hellstone?

Fuck yeah.

And as there is PvP, we could have Dwarf vs. Elf, were as elf builds above ground and has to get rid of corruption, while dwarf builds below ground and spreads corruption. First to make the other team rage quit wins!

I really do hope they allow for the placement of background walls over stuff like dirt and rock, even if just for the dwarven race or something. We gotta have some method of building homes underground.
