I am not a fan of bullet hell games... whatever gave you that idea?

Also I am not complaining about there being a LOT of enemies... that is fine

I am complaining about it litterally RAINING enemies. That is stupid especially since well... it should kill them.

Didn't say you were a fan. This is a game with a pretty wide appeal, so...not surprised if the community is filled with 10 year olds.

I think once they tone down the spawn rate and adjust for how it spawns guys...there will probably be less dude raining out of the sky. And I'm guessing they don't do fall damage because, you could literally just sit there at the bottom of a long drop you created and harvest coins from weak dudes that fall to their death.

My goddam god do people read and check this stuff out? First video they did they mentioned tuning down the spawn rates. I wouldn't be so aggravated about this if it was just a few people, but everybody seems to miss the information present in the less than three dozen images and videos that are our sole source of information. The pool of information is too small to miss stuff like this.

It wouldn't matter how low the spawn rate would be. It shouldn't rain enemies on you out of the blue... that is just silly and a cheap hit against the player.

Well, don't stand in the bottom of a pit, then.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Or maybe they shouldn't be standing directly beneath a huge drop off point fighting stuff? The pathing in this makes it pretty obvious where problems come from.

Also jet packs, swords that shoot stuff and large area effect weapons. Methinks thou doth protest too much.

And ninja'd by Akylon.

Saying the game is a bullet hell seems like a stretch to me, but I guess it isn't entirely far off due to the spawn rates. As for the raining enemies- I don't know, it doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I can't tell if they do die or not, because ones that usually fall on top of them in the LPs aren't actually falling very far (that I've noticed). Even the players can fall a pretty big distance without risk of out-right death. And as people have said, all of this is subject to change via development. Spawn rules seem like a simple solution.

D'oh four six posts while typing this.

Sure, there are ways around it, though it doesn't prevent it from being a problem or silly and cheap.

Especially since "Jetpacks, Swords that shoot stuff, and Large area effect weapons" seem to be your counter :P

The spawning system seems to work with the edge of the screen, so there are possible problems with that approach. It's clever and works out in a lot of cases and helps reduce the intensity of looking for spawning locations and tracking them real-time, but expect oddities from it.

This game looks really neat.  Has there been any indication of how long we might be waiting?

1-3 months, 5-20 dollars.

I went to the chat to hear that... Boy is it noisy in there. I dislike noisy locationees.

Yeah, because that's an argument that carries a ton of water. But hey, let's make strong judgments based on the first 20% of the game while its still in alpha. No way that can go wrong.

Well it is simple, the cure does not make light the disease.

Things that are wrong with a game are just as important as what is good about the game

To whoever complained about how the community seemed bad, I called it. Like I said. Notch killed any chance of this being peaceful the moment he linked it. That's how he kills competition. He doesn't say bad things, he just links it, and the horrid fanbase of MC does the dirty work.

Notch gets respect points for a good game. Any respect I have, however, is over balanced by the fact he is either that malicious, or he is that ignorant, that he destroys prospective amazing games.
