Part 11 up. They're now exploring a different cave system to the, uh, west? I suppose west is where the sun sets, so if it sets to the right, west is to the right.

Wrapping would be neat I guess, but honestly I think it'll work fine regardless. Think of the multiplayer! Two massive fortresses on either end of a large world amassing their forces to finally strike and destroy the opposition! It's like DF, Worms and TF2 rolled into one! Well, sans the horrible magma death, I suppose. Still no word on whether we'll be able to transport liquids.

I... feel like they said something about bottling water when they were introducing bottles. I may have made that up though  :-\ And even if it was true, it doesn't necessarily mean you can dump it later or that that's a reasonable way of moving water.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I bet you could raise magma very slowly by building walls on either side of a pool and slowly building walls right into the magma, forcing it upwards.

Oh I hadn't thought of that... dropping sand into it (assuming it doesn't just get destroyed or turned to glass or something) could make it a bit safer/faster potentially.

You can PvP right? That would be awesome, in a Super Smash Brothers But With 16 Bit Graphics way.

How many people are going to ask this?  It's specifically described in one of the videos, and answered over and over again in this thread.

Yes, there is PvP.  Yes, any and all servers can be PvP, by simply clicking an option that makes your character PvP-open, and you can select from four team colors or go no-team.

I just suggested this on their forums:

I'd love to see a hose that you can fire into water like the grappling hook and then use to spray water as a way to move it. Namely because I want to build a beaver lodge style house entry underwater so I'd need to move a ton of water some distance. Plumbing would also be cool. (Also epic alteration to a later magma hose/pumps.)

Also I'd like to be able to make and place deadly spikes to kill npcs/players/myself by accident. Thorns are already in doing something similar so it should be easy?

Ideally I'd fill the bottom of the Beaver Lodge lake with these and only swimming characters would be able to enter safely. (Though I could just build it in the sky and use grapples etc but water seems more dungeony to me.

Very very impressive

It is a game I hope has a very long development since honestly... already I consider it better then Minecraft >_>

Also a Crafting Menu!?! Wow! This shouldn't be impressive but apperantly ease of use is the enemy!

Part 12

It's pretty brutal how little we actually learn in some of these. They do mention actual numbers for materials to make armor, which is apparently pretty high. 25 bars for pants, and it seems like multiple ores are required per bar (I didn't look closely, don't take that as fact)

I am kinda disapointed that enemies constantly rain on you in this game... it is kinda... well... stupid.

Also the community is already sort of... poor. oddly enough.

It would just be a digging/crafting/building game without the influx of enemies. I could see being done with this game in a few days if there weren't the challenge of staying alive.

This surprises you? 2d sprite-based bullet hell type games aren't known for their stellar communities.
