This is a Voxel-Based-game, or VBG for short.

Maybe Box-like?

Gods this game looks more and more interesting.
10 explains that making glass from sand and then making a bottle from the glass and placing said bottle onto a workbench turns it into an Alchemy station. Here you can turn mushrooms into Potions with Bottles. Also shows off a larger base (looking to 'hire' a Nurse to arrive) and the Grappleing Hook...

Have they said what the player max size is per server? I'm guessing 4, but man, with PvP, 16 sounds better.

Probably way more than 4, by the simple fact you have 4 faction (team) colors.

I'm hoping for insane stuff like, 128 people in a server. :P

I think they've said 8 at one point, then expanded that to 255. He said 255 wasn't a technical limitation, just an artificial one that he'd be ok with removing if you could get more than that on a server without ridiculous lag.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I was trying not to get too excited for this, but with the crafting/hiring of npcs, I'm now excited.

Damn you Bay12'ers you always do this to me.
That's why I always keep coming back kekeke

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

Personally, I'd rather jack up the world gen parameters than flood a smaller map with 255 players. They said something like 16,000 x 8,000 ft for a large build....imagine 32,000 x 16,000 world for 20 people. Sounds pretty schweet. Wonder what the mem usage is on the current maps.

I would like to see around 10 folk a side for each PvP state. So that would be 20 Vs 20 on either side of the map. Which would be epic, build fortresses and defend them from eachother...

By the way is the game focus only on PvP?

I wish they make PvE awesome, like invasions etc so building a fortress/traps has a meaning.

Every night is an invasion. PvP is optional.

Fix't.

Would be cool if they've got some spawn scaling code to handle for the # of players.
