I'm fairly new to really watching LPs for any extended time, so I'm not really judging him on the fun factor. He's done a decent job of being informative. which is far more important at this point. I wish he'd keep that in mind instead of just trying to fly through as much of the game as possible.

It could be worse. He could have been like me and spent the first 6 hours just on the dirt level of the underworld :P

Just noticed this... not much footage, but I cracked up a little. Fly-by~

EDIT: Obviously, this game will eventually need sources of invisibility and see invisibility. The cheap-ish kind, that still shows, say, rocketboot contrails, but hides who and what it is, exactly. Then PvP gains another level of ohohohoboom... and the game gets predators :P

They're going to need to make quite a few changes to accommodate people's PvP wishes. With some tweaks, Terraria could easily be setup as a real persistent world kind of thing.

I've gotta say, I was a bit skeptical of the equipment-based progression at first, but I'm really liking it now. PBat just took 114 fall damage (enough to kill two starting characters) and responded with an "Oh, that wasn't smart."

Also, "I'm thinking my next goal is going to be going back to the Corruption and summoning the Eater of Worlds." WHY WON'T THEY TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY.

2 Month later the actual game level will be in hell due to all the dynamtie blowing up at starting height haha

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

World-sizes + servers both public and private + Admins commands = Not a problem.

Unless we get some bizarre concept that things will be overly persistent aside from equipment/gold.

My mouth drops every time I see PBat doing something. It's almost like he's borderline disabled.

"Hey, let's sell this Star Cannon for 10 gold despite the fact we used materials AND 50 gold making it! LOL SO BALLAH!"
"Hey, let's not realise that my vile thorn wand will slaughter bosses easily and instead spend two fucking videos trying to scrounge up 50 gold for a new item that we already sold."

He is quite annoying, but because I really want this game I'm watching it anyway.

Round two of the so-far most competent non-dev... possibly the most competent of all we've seen. Considerably less pants-on-head moments and immensely more organized and collected in 'is play style.

I still can't help but think that the person who can grasp the concept of not running head first into slimes will be a god among terraria players, though. Remember folks. Luigi. Start braking before you get there.
